A High Levada

Hiking between 600 m and almost 1200 m on a cloudy day Levadas are water ways, built along the mountains, to channel water from the water-rich northern side of the island to the south. Alongside these levadas are walking ways, sometimes not broader than 30 cm with a rock wall on one side and 200 m emptiness on the other side. Our target - cross the cloud forest and see the green waterfall.
